Led by Professor Gao Libo of School of Physics, Nanjing University, in collaboration with a team of four young scholars in the same school, the paper titled "Proton-assisted growth of ultra-flat graphene films" was published in Nature (Nature, doi: 10.1038 / s41586-019-1870-3, 2020). This achievement not only explored a method for the controlled growth of ultra-flat graphene films, but more importantly, the internal mechanism of this growth method, that is, proton-assisted, has been discovered. This method is expected to be extended to important research fields such as new materials and new energy applications.
